Walpole Scholarship Foundation
Application Information

  • Scholarships are awarded on a combination of financial need, academic merit and personal qualities. 
  • Applicant must be a Walpole resident enrolled in a full-time program leading up to a certificate, associate, or baccalaureate degree.  Graduate programs are not funded by the Walpole Scholarship Foundation.
  • Students may only be awarded a WSF scholarship for 4 years.  If you are in a 5 year College (post- secondary program) you may not receive funds for your 5th year if you have received them the previous 4 years.  If you have received an award for less than 4 years you may apply for support for your 5th year of a college (post-secondary program). 
  • Current College seniors who will graduate in June 2010 or Dec 2010 are not eligible to apply as the scholarship money is not paid until Dec 2010 when you are no longer in school. 
  • Students who attend United States Service Academies will not be eligible for Walpole Scholarship Foundation awards
  • Students entering a 5th year of high school, also called a post-graduate or PG year are not eligible for a WSF award.   Students currently in a 5th year of high school, entering college (post-secondary program) in the fall are eligible.  Students will be evaluated along with the rest of the high school graduates.
  • You will be required to fill out an application, write an essay, submit a transcript, submit a letter of reference and submit the first page of the FAFSA SAR report.  All financial information will be confidential.  See application pages for details. 
  • ONLY COMPLETE APPLICATIONS received in one envelope will be reviewed.
  • All applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision by mail in early June 2010.   The scholarship check will be mailed in late December 2010.

    DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Saturday, February 13, 2010, 1:00 PM 

    Applications postmarked or hand-delivered after this time will not be accepted.

    JOE MORGAN CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT to benefit the Walpole Scholarship Foundation is presented by Walpole Co-operative Bank.  This annual event hosted by Joe Morgan is  held the first Monday in October at the Walpole Country Club.
